Episode #27, "The Goonies"

Hey you guys! Just in time for the 30th anniversary of The Goonies, writer Drew Pisarra (Sundance TV) is on the podcast to watch this '80s classic for the first time.

What's it like to watch Goonies for the first time as an adult? Does it hold up to 30 years of hype? Drew and I discuss the film's legacy, its many Rube Goldberg-ian traps (and logic problems) and whether or not the famous "This is our time!" speech is responsible for a generation of entitled millennials.

Be sure to check out Drew's Korean movie blog and follow him on Twitter

Like Movies My Friends Have Never Seen on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. You can also get the show on iTunes and Stitcher.

Music: "The Goonies R Good Enough," Cyndi Lauper's ode to all things goonie.

Note: The Korean gangster film that Drew discusses is in fact Rough Cut and not Eye for an Eye.
